Brief information about the Construction sector

Building houses, offices etc. isn't as simple as paying a builder to come in and start the project, you have to have planning permission, then a building inspector, then when the building is built you'll have to get it maintained and so on.

That's why this sector has more to it than just a Builders job. You could be a Plumber, an Electrical engineer, or you could be on the planning side looking at the environmental and social impact of new developments.

The beauty of this sector is that it's always in great demand. With the 2012 olympics coming up, the UK will be building more than ever to accomodate fans, and construct new sporting places.

It doesn't matter if you don't like getting your hands dirty though, you could be a carpenter, or you could be setting up the stages and getting all the equipment together for plays etc.
